About Me

I am Shu Chen, currently a Lecturer in the School of Information Engineering and Internet of Things at Huzhou Vocational & Technical College, China.

My research lies at the intersection of spatiotemporal data analytics, intelligent sensing/perception, and edge intelligence. I am particularly interested in building practical and resource-aware methods for real-world perception tasks, including small-object detection and group-behavior understanding in dynamic environments.

Previously, I received my Ph.D. in Communication and Information Systems from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2016.

Research Interests

I am currently working on projects related to: - Multimodal spiking-neural-network-based perception for UAV patrol scenarios. - Edge–cloud collaborative inference for reliable alerting in dynamic public-space environments.
